The Polish village of Osinow Dolny is close to the German border. It attracts horders of shoppers from across the border, keen to snap up bargains: Everything here is cheaper than in Germany. But what really makes it unusual is the extraordinary number of hairdressers: Most of the village’s 200 residents work in its 30 hairdressing salons. The customers are elderly ladies from Germany, who are delighted that at 4 euros a go,a visit to the hairdresser's costs about as much as it did when they were young.
